Kangana Ranaut welcomes Oscar-Winning Makeup Artist David Malinowski for her next film ‘Emergency’ for the prosthetics of transforming her into Indira Gandhi
Kangana Ranaut has always made headlines for her fearless attitude, films and the character she portrays. The talented actor makes her character look authentic whenever she performs. The gorgeous actor astonished everyone with her performance as Datto in Tanu Weds Manu 2, Fashion and more. In her movie Thalaivi, she aced the character of late actor and politician Jayalalitha and the prosthetics used in it were also commendable.
Dhaakad actress’ upcoming directorial film Emergency is based on the political situation- Emergency in India from 1975 to 1977 imposed by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Kangana will be essaying the character of Indira Gandhi in the film. For her transformation, she has collaborated with the well-known makeup artist David Malinowski who is the winner of Oscar, BAFTA and Academy awards for his commendable work. The actor welcomed the artist by sharing Instagram stories which went like ‘Welcome to the team Emergency.’ She also added another story expressing her excitement to work with the ace artist.
Kangana Ranaut announced the film Emergency in 2021. This is her second directorial, following Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019). The film is written by Ritesh Shah.
The director-actor spoke about the film’s update via Koo and said, “Pleased to wear director’s hat again, after working on Emergency for more than a year I finally figured no one can direct it better than me. Collaborating with fabulous writer Ritesh Shah, even if it means sacrificing on various acting assignments I am determined to do it, my excitement is high. This is going to be a tremendous journey, my leap to another league #Emergency #Indira.”
